Five CoderCo alumni placed at Version 1

Problem

Version 1's cloud engineering practice needed engineers comfortable across both AWS and Azure, with Terraform module experience deep enough to extend the practice's reference architecture rather than just consume it. The market for cross-cloud engineers at this level moves slowly outside of warm-network referrals.

What we did

• Surfaced five pre-vetted alumni from the CoderCo network with multi-cloud production experience across AWS and Azure
• Each candidate had recent Terraform module authorship plus Kubernetes operations exposure
• CVs went out with a one-paragraph fit note against the named practice
• Coordinated start dates to the client engagement calendar so all five engineers landed on billable work straight away

Outcome

• Five CoderCo alumni placed into Version 1's cloud engineering practice
• Engineers billable on client engagements within the first week
• All five still in role at the time of publication
• The practice has continued to take referrals across Cloud and SRE roles
